Huntleigh, a member of Arjo, has been developing innovative products that assist in the management and treatment of Vascular and Lymphatic conditions for over 30 years. Now introducing a new concept in wound therapy, WoundExpress™, an Intermittent Pneumatic Compression (IPC) system to increase blood flow around the leg ulcer. The garment is applied to the thigh to increase comfort and compliance. It is easy to use at home without nurse support. While the Hydroven range are advanced IPC systems designed to offer both clinicians and patients an effective treatment to manage Lymphedema.

  • With over 30 years’ experience in vascular assessment and treatment, Huntleigh, a member of the Arjo family, has strived to provide patients, and the professionals who care for them, innovative solutions that improve outcomes and enhance patient wellbeing. Huntleigh has now revolutionized wound therapy. Wounds are a common clinical challenge where approximately 1% of the western population will suffer from a venous leg ulcer (VLU) during their lifetime.

“Patients suffering from venous leg ulcers have disorders of both venous and lymphatic systems. The astute clinician addresses both disorders. Ignoring the lymphatic component ignores half the problem.” - Dr. Thomas Serena

Introducing WoundExpress™, an innovative adjunctive therapy for lower limb wounds which can improve healing rates and reduce pain. Comprising of a single-patient-use garment and a pump, it uses Intermittent Pneumatic Compression (IPC) to increase blood flow around the leg ulcer. Unlike all other VLU compression therapies, the 3 chamber garment is easily applied by the patient to the thigh of the ulcerated limb, away from the wound site, increasing patient comfort and compliance. It is used for only 2 hours per day as an adjunct to standard treatment.

Clinical evidence has shown 93% of ulcers improved within a 16 week period of treatment. 60% of patients with an unhealed wound for over 4 years progressed towards healing. In addition to wound healing, the clinical evidence has shown that WoundExpress™ decreased the pain associated with venous leg wounds in 94% of the patients who used it over an 8 week period of time. Costs of wound care are also reduced due to less wound dressings used and nurse time. Join us now and order your WoundExpress™ to start seeing improved healing and decreased pain in your patients today.

  • Hydroven® 12, with its unique LymphAssist™ mode, is an advanced Intermittent Pneumatic Compression (IPC) system designed by Lymphedema and Manual Lymph Drainage Therapists (MLS) to offer 3 effective treatment options to manage lymphedema. The LymphAssist mode replicates the basic principles of Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD). The automatic pressure and multi-chamber sequencing promotes efficient fluid transfer through the patient’s lymphatic system. The rhythmic massaging stimulates the lymphatic vessels encouraging the transport of proteins and waste products away from affected areas. The graduated sequential therapy mode provides a controlled pressure differential between adjacent chambers in each garment. This therapy helps restore the natural hydrostatic balance of the limb. The wave therapy mode produces a gentle peristaltic cycle for patients who may be unable to tolerate graduated sequential compression. The different modes allows the treatment to be tailored to the patient’s needs.

  • WoundExpress™
A thigh administered IPC device that improves healing in hard to heal venous and mixed etiology leg wounds! Medicare Part B approved, ideal for in-home-use, has a patented sequence to deliver compression therapy to improve blood flow to the wound....

  • WoundExpress™ is a new concept thigh administered intermittent pneumatic compression device comprising of a patented intermittent compression sequence at 60mmHg. WoundExpress is used as adjunct therapy to standard of care multi-layered bandaging in patients with venous edema and phlebolymphedema with venous leg ulcers and mixed etiology ulcers. The thigh garment is placed away from the wound with clinical evidence showing an increase in arterial and venous blood flow to the lower extremity. The device is showing significant results in decreasing pain and improved healing in patients with hard to heal venous leg ulcers.

The WoundExpress™ works by actively compressing blood out of the venous system towards the heart. This causes a drop in venous pressure, which acts to increase the arterial/venous pressure gradient. This pressure gradient increases blood flow to the wound delivering oxygen and nutrient rich blood to the wound site while removing toxins and exudate from the wound.
